Captains Announced

Congratulations to Pat Schoenfelder, Landon Keefover, Marc Gillespie and Kevin Vettese on being named the 2017 boys track & field captains.  Schoenfelder has been captain of all 3 sports during his senior year (XC, wrestling and track).  The senior is coming off a remarkable junior season where he served as captain and was a member of the 4x4 relay that qualified for the IHSA state championships.  More recently, Pat won the IHSA state championship at 160lbs.  Keefover will serve as captain for the 2nd year in a row.  He is coming off one of the best seasons as a Sequoit.  He was all-conference in the 110HH, 300IH and 4x400 relay.  He finished 2nd at the Illinois Prep Top Times meet and also was a finalist in the IHSA 110HH where he placed 7th in 2A.  Gillespie and Vettese are first time captains and are well deserving.  Gillespie was a member of the 4x400 meter relay team that earned all-conference and qualified for the IHSA state meet in 2016.  Vettese served as captain of the cross country team in 2016 and ran a personal best of 10:35 last season.
