Girls NLCC Championship
Teams: Antioch, Grant, Grayslake Central, Grayslake North, Lakes, North Chicago, Round Lake, Wauconda
Entries: Two Entries per individual event and one relay team per school per level.
Scoring: The meet will be scored 10-8-6-4-2-1. Medals will be awarded for the top 6 places in all events. A trophy will be awarded to the NLCC champion and a plaque to the JV team champion.
Trainers: A Certified Athletic Trainer will be on-site to treat athletes.
Concessions and Shirts: Will be available at the concession building.
Tents: There is an area in the Southeast area of the stadium to set up tents.
Spectator Parking: Spectators may park in the lot behind the school, along the east side of McMillen Road and at McMillen Field. The stadium parking lot will be reserved for school buses.
Bullpen/Hip Numbers: The bullpen will be located in the south end zone area. Hip numbers may be picked up by this area. For relays, only the anchor runner will need hip numbers.
Access To The Track/ Bullpen: There will only be one access point onto the track/bullpen, the southwest gate. This includes the pole vault and high jump. Athletes that have been called for an event, coaches working, and event workers will be the only individuals admitted past this point.
Time Schedule (Thursday, May 2, 2019):
3:00 pm Implement Weigh Ins (team room behind home bleachers); Pole Vault Weigh Ins (pole vault area)
3:00 - 3:30 pm All scratches are made at team room behind the north bleachers
3:30 pm Coaches meeting in team room
4:00 pm Field Events
Varsity Shot Put (top 9 to the finals) Best Flight second
JV Discus (4 attempts) Best Flight Last
Varsity Long Jump (top 9 to the final) Best Flight Last
JV Triple Jump (4 attempts) Best Flight First *60 minutes for jumpers to get jumps in
JV High Jump start at coaches choice (move up two inches)
Varsity Pole Vault start at coaches choice (move up six inches)
After the conclusion of the shot, discus, long jump, and triple jump areas will be open for a 25 minute warm up period. Then:
JV Shot Put (4 attempts)
Varsity Discus (top 9 to the finals) Best Flight Last
JV Long Jump (4 attempts) *60 minutes for jumpers to get jumps in
Varsity Triple Jump (top nine to finals) Best Flight First
Varsity High Jump coaches choice (move up two inches)
