Lake Michigan Recap

The boys team wrapped up the indoor season by placing 12th out of 30+ teams at the Lake Michigan Invite hosted by Carthage College.  Notable performances include the 4x200 meter relay team of Keefover, Porter, London and Schoenfelder.  The team placed 4th overall and ran 1:36.25.  Sophomore Xavier Sanchez threw the shot put in his first meet of the season by launching a personal best of 46'10" to take 10th out of 68 throwers.  Trevon Arnold placed 4th in the high jump with a personal best of 5'9".  Sophomore standout Sebastian Scofield placed 8th out of 57 in the 800 meters.  His time of 2:06.05 was a personal best and indoor school record.  The 4x400 meter relay team of Keefover, Gillespie, Schoenfelder and London was the fastest in that event in over 8 years running 3:39.11.  The team kicks off the outdoor season on Tuesday, April 4th at home against Grant and Grayslake Central.
