Keefover Takes Home the Title

Senior Landon Keefover brought home the gold from the Illinois Prep Top Times meet held on March 25th.  Keefover started off the day by winning his preliminary in 8.13.  His previous best was 8.28 which he ran at the University of Kentucky Invite in mid February.  Keefover was not finished, however, as he came back in the finals and showed why he is one of the best hurdlers in the state.  He ran neck and neck with jayvious Johnson of Harlem HS out of Rockford before taking charge and winning in a new personal best of 8.12.

Freshman sensation Ayanna Tommy ran in her first of what looks like to be many Illinois Prep Top Times races.  Tommy placed 16th overall after coming in with the 18th fastest time.
